This Lakeside Retreat was designed in 2016 by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in association with Bohlin Grauman Miller. Located approximately three hours northeast of Toronto, Ontario, this 3,300 sq. ft. retreat is carefully situated along the shores of Contau Lake on a remote, seasonally isolated woodland spanning nearly 100 acres.

Designed as a home and studio for a photographer and his young family, Lightbox House is located on a peninsula that extends south from British Columbia across the border to Point Roberts. The densely forested site lies beside a 180-acre park that overlooks the Strait of Georgia, the San Juan Islands and the Puget Sound.
