Six Senses Laamu, a Paradise Resort in the Maldives

six senses laamu

Six Senses Laamu is a luxury resort, the only one from Laamu Atoll, a part of the Republic of the Maldives, situated in the South –West of India, deep in the Indian Ocean. Once you have arrived in the international airport of Male, you have to take another 35 minutes flight to Kadhdhoo that will offer you a beautiful panorama of the Maldives Islands. Here your butler will welcome you and will join you for a 15 minutes’ walk, by boat, to Six Senses Laamu.

The peak season lasts from November to April, but all year round you may admire the dolphins swimming and you may enjoy diving in the turquoise blue, pure water. You may swim together with turtles, a great diversity of colorful fish and you may admire amazing birds.

The resort has many villas situated above the waters or on the islands, surrounded by palm trees. The villas are built of resistant materials and are interconnected by bridges and wood wharfs. They are spacious, aired and the bamboo, specific to insular buildings, combined with splendid finishes, the modern furniture and elegant accessories transform everything in an amazing complex.

The wood bungalows have iPod docks, 37 inches flat TVs and Bose home entertainment systems. Internet is wireless and available for free. They also include air conditioner and bathroom, where, under the stars light, you may have a rain like shower.

Six Senses Laamu has many saloons and restaurants where chefs, from East or West, cook delicious foods, using ingredients from island’s organic gardens. Thus, the LEAF restaurant serves Mediterranean foods made of fresh organic ingredients, while Altitude offers wines and premium cheese. You may chose to serve dinner on the white sand of the beach, in a romantic atmosphere, surrounded by soft, diffuse lights and under the starry sky. What could be more beautiful?

The SPA Six Senses center offers elegant treatment rooms, Ayurvedic therapies and relaxing massage, sauna or fitness halls. The complex offers a modern sport hall, yoga pavilions, fishing, windsurfing, kayak, cycling, snorkeling and bike renting. If you come with your children, the complex offers babysitting and fun activities. Six Senses Laamu is a paradise corner where, relaxed on the pontoon of your villa, you can admire the infinite blue of the ocean or a ravishing sunset. Everything is a celebration for eyes and soul.
