Our client found a perfect mountain retreat located on the East side of the Cascades. The location was ideal but the existing residence seemed out of scale, with massive dark-stained timber columns and beams contrasting harshly against painted drywall and light stained wood.
This new industrial house and studio for an uber-hobbyist sits quietly within a well established single-family neighborhood. At the center of the house is a large two-story central workspace, bathed in natural light by ample windows and skylights.
This project was a very thorough remodel of a mid-century house, originally designed by Portland architect William Fletcher. Before our clients purchased the home, it was owned by an artist and during our design process we kept in mind both the style of the house as well as the playful eye of its previous occupant.

Designed by Suyama Peterson Deguchi, River Residence is a serene shelter embracing the natural beauty of the rugged mountain area. The complex program for a retired couple included a guest wing and extended outdoor living areas.
Conard Romano Architects in collaboration with Prestige Residential Construction delivered quiet sophistication and meticulous attention to detail in this custom home. This new house on a small lot in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle has a compact floor plan due to its site constraints.
This Washington Park Residence sits on a bluff with easterly views of Lake Washington and the Cascades beyond. This modern masterpiece was designed by Conard Romano Architects.
