The office already was well informed about this terrain: neighboring the FL House, we knew that we needed to exploit the front of the lot overlooking the orange tree grove; and the back, with the dense native Atlantic Forest reserve landscape.
With a vast program to be fulfilled, the MSS house, was built through a mixed structural system (reinforced concrete and metallic structure), since the client came to us with the intention of realizing a residence with simple solutions and fast execution.
This is requested to be a coastal style weekend house for a young couple form São Paulo and their infant kids. It is set in a L shape, blocking the street since it’s located in a corner of two access roads to the beach.
Placed in a land with a native forest surrounding it, the NVD house was designed in order to attend the wishes of a couple with three children: having a weekend residence for relaxing and leisure moments to the family.
Leaning in a clearing, within the atlantic forest, the Sao Pedro Residence floats. Slightly supported by elements of stone, its purpose is to settle in the existing topography allowing nature to follow its path.
The Havai House turns itself to the inside, in a way it is introspective, a feature that comes from the place’s specific constraints – the linear conformation of the lot, 5x35m, and its neighbour’s tall lateral walls.
The SC Apartment is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil and it was designed for an Art and Design Collector who doesn’t intend to live there : it’s a space only for hosting parties with close friends.
The owners asked the office for a contemporary single-storey house whose rooms could enjoy the huge preservation area of Granja Viana region in the city of Cotia-SP.
