El Equipo Creativo has completed the interior design of El Palau Fugit. Located deep in Girona’s atmospheric Barri Vell (Old Quarter), the award-winning studio converted a disused 18th-century palace into a destination hotel as charming and seductive as Girona itself.
The minimalistic style of the redevelopment invokes the austerity of past times. There is a dialogue between the new work and the old medieval house that seeks to marry past and present. The entry of natural light gives form to the volumes, and the fluidity of the spaces is accentuated.
The Stonewall house follows the material and constructive logics of the original wall-fence, but adapting them to current requirements. It is built entirely with load-bearing walls, reusing the stones from the old wall, mixing them with aggregate from the plot along with limestone and cement.
The iron steel fountain has been designed in order to increase the feeling of privacy in the patio, and it is integrated in the natural stone wall. The main façade of the Palau Sator house is made with local natural stone and characterized by its openings framed with iron sheets and the predominance of vertical proportions.
Luxury single family home, new build, located in the heart of the Baix Empordà area. The house has 5 large suites, each with their own full bathroom. The main suite has a surface of 53 m², with a bedroom, bathroom and dressing room and offers magnificent views of the garden and the swimming pool, with access to the same.
The La Pineda House is formed by three enclosures that, together with the porches, are articulated to leave an empty space (patios). In this house, a fourth element is suggested: the closed porch, an outside space in the interior, intended to be the access and main distributor of the house.
