The brief was to design a new energy efficient, low maintenance house filled with natural light for a couple and their extended family when they visit. The Longis View house is orientated to maximise the spectacular coastal views to the south of the site whilst retaining the sense of intimacy, set slightly into the hillside to the north.
The Deerings, a new build modernist certified passivhaus, is a brave addition to a traditional suburban street scene in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. This striking home is a sympathetic response to its urban setting and sits comfortably alongside its more traditional neighbouring properties.
Located on the first floor of a 1960s apartment building in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Toorak, the Woori apartment has canopy views and a sense of privacy rarely found in such a location.
In the original layout of the Scenic Ballade apartment, the kitchen faced south; we altered the floor plan by creating an open space combining the kitchen with the living room. We additionally installed a kitchen island to facilitate the preparation of cooking ingredients.
The Recyclable House was designed and built by Quentin Irvine, Managing Director of Inquire Invent Pty Ltd. Aesthetic inspirations for the house were drawn from iconic Australian galvanised steel wool sheds, hand crafts and industrial.
The project is located in a high-end residential community. In spite of the “high-end” positioning of the project, AD Architecture still endowed it with artistic features. Through feeling the beauty of pureness and quietness in space, the Studio created an elegant residence that purifies and eases people’s mind.
The classic nature of the apartment Salvatori, with its standout features such as the fireplace and original Terrazzo floors, has taken on a new vibrancy as a result of the colour palette chosen by Elisa, in which strong tones in a variety of declinations play off each other.
The Mountain Lakes Residence also had an emotional aspect for Susan Knof, Founder and Creative Director of KNOF Design, as one half of the client couple is a long-time friend.
