Bonham Interior Architecture has completed the transformation of Whitford House, a stunning country residence located on the outskirts of Auckland, New Zealand. Over the course of two years, the design team worked closely with the homeowners to breathe new life into this rural gem, resulting in a home that reflects both elegance and functionality.
This existing apartment was divided in two different floors; at the lower floor, the 6th floor, there was a traditional existing apartment with very nice classic and historic elements, like the ceiling decorations and traditional windows, which gives a nice atmosphere and which has been maintained as much as possible.
Designed by Felipe Hess in collaboration with associate Federico Concilio, Lara house was commissioned by a young businessman who needed enough space to entertain his family and friends. Lara house is located in São Paulo and has a built area of 350 sq.m.
We had a hell of a time knocking down all partitions that formerly stood in the middle of this ample social area. It took an army composed of a hard headed architect in commander and an infantry of ten mason workers armed with iron props and a beam the size a of a cannon.

From the footpath, the Fairfield Hacienda with its angled roof fits into the landscape of single-level homes, effortlessly picking up the street’s original pattern of hipped and gabled roof forms.
