Developed on two levels, the house was designed and arranged especially for the young owner family; perfectly reflecting their personality and preferences.
The design challenge was how to intergrade a modern home design concept into the hexagon geometry and have the final architecture become a cohesive building while also addressing the heavily treed, steep sloping site
301 Residence is located in the beautiful Golden Beach area, and it represents a sparkling example of astonishing Miami architecture. This home was designed to use the most out of the outdoor area while complementing its beautiful surroundings with the indoor design.
The clients, a young couple with two children, wanted a contemporary home that suited their needs as a family. The brief called for a four bedroom, two bathroom house with an open-plan living area and separate music room.
Though many considered the lot to be unbuildable due to restrictive bylaws in the area, the clients and Measured found it to be the perfect opportunity to nestle a modern yet modest home into the semi-rural environment.
Located in a neighborhood characterized by illegal buildings, a house is defined with its outer oblique borders, thus designing the different spans of the two-storey dwelling with accessible roof, so as to contemplate the view.
