This downtown apartment is a modern renovation in a historic Asheville building from 1905. Our design delivers a welcoming new home for the client, as well as for his extensive art collection. As both an artist and collector, the homeowner wanted a space that was not only comfortable to live and create in, but also one that provided the ideal setting for his diverse art collection.
The Fontana Lake House is a private lake home located in Swain County. The LEED Gold home is designed to integrate harmoniously with the surrounding Appalachian mountain setting. The understated exterior and the thoughtfully chosen palette blend into the topography of the wooded hillside.

Balakrishnan residence is a two-story house laid on an east-west axis to maximize the benefits of passive solar throughout the year. Tall pines that surround the home inspired the vertical exterior siding. Movement through the home is choreographed to views and natural light.
