SHOTGUN HOUSE is a house model designed with SIP panels (Structural insulated panel). These panels are prefabricated building components installed in the Chilean market and available through different suppliers throughout the country.
The Rondolino residence is based on the Modulome, the prefabricated, modular housing system first designed by Nottoscale in 2002. Located on a 40-acre site in the desert more than 100 miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada, the property is framed by mountains to the north and Death Valley to the West.
This prefabricated wooden house is laid out so all family members are aware of each other, yet respecting everyone´s privacy. A large open space (almost 6 meters ceiling height) connects the living room, the kitchen, a workspace and the upper floor spaces.
This monolithic home is located on a piece of land in Ourém, characterized by its rectangular configuration, with a descending slope in the south direction (next to the public road). The difference in height between the highest point and the lowest point is approximately 4.50m.
