Archea Associati has transformed the interiors of an elegant old residential building in the heart of Pietrasanta, with thick stone walls, frescoes, and high ceilings with exposed beams, into a sumptuous home, while avoiding alterations to the building’s original structure and identity.
A young family desired to build a retreat on a large lot located outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming in bucolic Teton County, Idaho. The design locates the house amidst an expansive wetland that fluctuates seasonally.
The Bamboo house is oriented towards the prevailing winds which crosses the pool water and the vegetation of the gardens to penetrate the bedrooms, cooling the constant breeze and refreshing the interior from the strong tropical heat.
