Volare is a new Italian trattoria in Amsterdam West. In the weekends the front space turns into a bar called Bomboloni’s. No matter the day of the week, the interior designed by Studio Modijefsky conjures up memories of Italian summers thanks to its soft colours and rough surfaces, arches and patios, and sensual swagger mixed with utter simplicity.
In the authentic district Hillegersberg – Schiebroek in Rotterdam, there stands a characteristic corner house from the year 1956.
This former cowshed has been transformed into a comfortable house, mainly used as a second home. The characteristic wooden construction details have been kept in full view to preserve the monumental character of the former stable.

The “Drie Wijzen uit Oost” and Studio Modijefsky have teamed up to transform this classic Amsterdam venue into Bonnie: a finest, traditional bistro bar with all its quintessential elements: mirrors, classic tiles, old fashioned wood and neon lights.
Within this oasis, we wanted to develop a home that both focuses on the connection between daily life and the green garden around the villa, as the value of this location with respect to the surrounded residents.
