Vive le Vin Hotel and Residences is a remarkable project located in Pedra Azul, EspÃrito Santo, Brazil, encompassing a total area of 11,300 m². Nestled in a mountainous region renowned for its extensive Atlantic Forest and cool temperatures, this residential condominium offers a serene and lush backdrop that inspires both relaxation and creativity.
Flexible Living and Hospitality
Designed with flexibility in mind, the project features 34 residential modules that can also serve hospitality purposes. Each module contains two, three, or four apartments with one or two bedrooms, all strategically positioned to harmonize with the site’s natural topography. This flexible approach ensures that the development caters to both residents and visitors, delivering comfort and convenience in a dynamic environment.
Comprehensive Interior Architecture
Our interior architecture work for Vive le Vin involves a comprehensive design of all common areas and hospitality apartments. The spaces include: Lobby, Spa, Pool, Bar and Restaurant, Emporium, Wine Club Space and Taste Room, Library, Coworking Area, Residential Modules (with one, two, and three-bedroom configurations)
Each area has been thoughtfully designed to maximize natural light and create a harmonious connection between the interior and the lush surroundings.
Design Approach: Trends and Local Culture
Our design process began with an in‑depth exploration of current behavioral trends, using platforms such as WGSN to ensure the project aligns with contemporary consumer expectations. Once we defined the trend pillars, we materialized them through connections with the local culture. We focused on two primary trends: localism and the era of creativity.
Embracing Localism Through Wine
Localism shines through the element of wine, reflecting the region’s status as one of Brazil’s top per capita wine consumers and its rich history of wine-related events. From this inspiration, we developed spaces that echo the ambiance and lifestyle of wineries. For example, we reinterpreted traditional elements such as gabion walls and reimagined the shape and colors of wine barrels in the interior architecture, creating a unique and evocative environment that honors local heritage.
Celebrating the Era of Creativity
The era of creativity is showcased through the works of three local female artists who contributed exclusive pieces for this project. Their artworks appear in various forms, including metal mesh architectural elements, wall installations, tapestries, and external sculptures. This integration of art with design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also creates a distinctive environment that blends wine, art, and innovative design seamlessly.
Conclusion
In summary, Vive le Vin Hotel and Residences is a distinctive development that combines flexible living with hospitality, comprehensive interior design, and a deep connection to local culture. By drawing on contemporary trends and celebrating the rich legacy of wine and creative expression, the project creates an evocative, harmonious environment that invites residents and visitors alike to experience a true taste of Pedra Azul.
