The SRG house is one of a pair of heritage-listed semis, built in 1972 on a steep waterfront site looking across the Parramatta River towards Iron Cove to the south, and Birkenhead Point to the west.
Designed in the ‘transitional’ style, the addition has an aesthetic that bridges traditional and modern, in its considered use of material and proportion.
This project entailed the complete renovation of an existing 1920’s brick Tudor, plus a 4’x20’ addition that allowed us to completely reconfigure the existing stair and all circulation.
