Lim + Lu announced the completion of a contemporary family office in Hong Kong – Aveline office, where the boundaries between work and home seamlessly merge. The client wanted to curate a home away from home, a physical representation of their growing family office. Spanning across 3000 square feet, this meticulously designed space exudes a Zen-like tranquility and relaxed residential feel. Drawing inspiration from nature, the material palette is made up of natural materials, such as wood slats adorning the walls and cabinet doors crafted from rattan.
A statement entry threshold enveloped in wood slats leads into the lounge area, where one is immediately embraced by a sense of familiarity and comfort reminiscent of a welcoming living room. Soft hues grace the space, creating an ambiance that exudes relaxation and fosters unhurried conversations. A plush sofa and inviting lounge chairs entices visitors to indulge in moments of reprieve.
The adjacent meeting room reveals itself as a versatile space, characterized by operable fluted glass partitions that when opened, make the office a more expansive environment. When closed, the fluted glass partitions provide privacy for the meeting room while allowing an abundance of natural light to bathe the core of the office. A large custom Calacatta Viola marble meeting table with scalloped edge showcases meticulous attention to detail. The warm ivory textured painted walls envelop the space in an inviting embrace, exuding a sense of comfort and serenity.
The heart of the office lies within the kitchen, featuring the exquisite Viola marble. Its elegant veining and striking maroon hues create a captivating focal point, while evoking a sense of refined luxury. This space serves as a gathering spot, encouraging collaboration and fostering a sense of community. Another custom marble communal table takes center stage, inviting conversations and igniting creativity.
The overall ambiance is one of harmony and relaxation. The interior has been thoughtfully curated to transcend the conventional office, embracing the essence of a residential haven while celebrating the practicality of a workspace. The thoughtful integration of natural materials, the captivating use of striking marble, and the warm ivory textured walls create an atmosphere that inspires productivity, creativity, and a sense of well-being.
