Bean Buro has crafted a banking contemporary workspace for a leading global financial institution in Hong Kong, covering 54,000 sqft over three storeys. This design offers a forward-thinking interpretation of workplace culture, harmonizing natural elements with human-centric approaches, and placing strong emphasis on well-being and hospitality.

Vibrant and Dynamic Atmosphere
“Materials and colours were carefully selected to establish a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. The client’s iconic red colour is reinterpreted and paired with a wide range of hues in different elements, creating a space that challenges traditional corporate norms and inspires creativity.” — Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro

Nature-Inspired Central Hub for Collaboration
Each level features a central hub inspired by the richness of a “mangrove garden,” filled with tropical flora and structural elements reminiscent of mangrove trees. This area vibrantly fosters social interaction and teamwork with its uniquely shaped seating arrangements and signature identity.

Interactive Art Installations to Boost Engagement
The workspace incorporates site-specific art installations by local artist Angel Hui, adding playful dimensions to the environment. These artworks, ranging from bright trinkets to neon statements, capture local cultural endeavors and create communal spaces that encourage social media interaction.

A Cohesive and Immersive Space
The broader office areas utilize an immersive design strategy highlighted by bespoke lighting set against timber-clad ceilings, guiding the flow of movement. Thoughtfully positioned amenities complement the workspace, uniting teams and maintaining visual and functional continuity.

Dynamic Use of Colour and Sustainable Practices
“Materials and colours were carefully selected to establish a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. The client’s iconic red colour is reinterpreted and paired with a wide range of hues in different elements, creating a space that challenges traditional corporate norms and inspires creativity.” — Lorène Faure, co-founder of Bean Buro

Aligning Brand Essence with Modern Flair
“Our design for this financial institution takes a progressive approach to workplace culture, aiming to blend natural elements with human-centered strategies, and prioritizing well-being and hospitality.” — Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro

Bean Buro faced the creative challenge of merging the organization’s established brand essence with a contemporary workplace vision. Through direct engagement with stakeholders, they crafted a narrative that encapsulates both heritage and modern design, exceeding aesthetic and functional expectations.

A Reflection of Excellence
This project stands as a testament to high-quality design and construction, representing the esteemed character of the client in a premier Hong Kong office location. The attentive and collaborative nature of the project navigated constraints seamlessly, setting new benchmarks for modern workplaces, particularly in the realm of banking contemporary workspaces.
