Designer: Buro21
Project: Dent Lounge
Location: Kiev, Ukraine
Total area: 150 m2
Realization: July 2017

Description by designer: Dent Lounge is a new dental clinic in Kiev, Ukraine. The idea for its creation was a cosy interior with homy atmosphere. It was supposed to be capable of changing the patients’ attitude towards dentist clinics, make them like their visits to a dentist – and not only the attitude of adult patients, but of children too.

The variation of paints is soft, quiet, but not dull. Patterns of lighting were designed with due consideration of regulatory requirements. Practically all the furniture, including the soft furniture and even sconces were manufactured by the designs of Buro21. Thus a table for a doctor’s study won the first place in the nomination of object design in the Interior Design Contest Interium 2017.

A lot of natural materials were used in this project, such as marble, natural veneer, brass, gesso, wood. Multitude of mirrors in treatment rooms create a feeling of boundless space. Because the premises are for medical use only, there is practically no decoration apart from vases with cut flowers.
