Description by Tom Robertson Architects: A respectfully contextual response to its neighbouring adjacencies, the cottage-fronted family home sees a calming and restrained sense of the familiar injected through a contemporary lens. The existing features used as a launchpad for inspiration, the extension and redesign of the internal optimises vertical and horizontal surfaces, carving into them to create a light-filled home.

A series of cabins - Denison Rivulet Cabins - these structures provide accommodation for couples at the bend of river, just north of Bicheno. The buildings establish a strong engagement with the wider site, through a series of interior strategies and plan relationships that create unique and memorable experiences for guests.
