Stephan Maria Lang Architects are delighted to present House LW27, an exquisite residence nestled in the prestigious city of Munich, Germany.
Situated in an upscale residential enclave, the challenge of constructing a spacious dwelling on a compact plot was ingeniously met. Given the limited ground space due to the presence of a generous outdoor pool, traditional garden space was scarce. As a solution aligned with the ethos of sustainability, a rooftop garden was conceived, embodying the concept of a zero-seal house where sealed areas are repurposed as green sanctuaries on the rooftop.
To shield the property’s boundaries and provide natural sun protection, a series of newly planted canopy trees are strategically positioned along the perimeter. The ground floor showcases an expansive open floor plan that seamlessly transitions from east to west, accentuated by floor-to-ceiling sliding windows that facilitate a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor living experiences throughout the year.
The upper level of the residence is dedicated to the private quarters, comprising a tranquil bedroom area complemented by ensuite bathrooms and separate dressing facilities. The pièce de résistance of this level is undeniably the lush rooftop terrace, complete with a rejuvenating whirlpool, reserved as a serene retreat for the industrious parents.
The interiors exude a sensually minimalist ambiance, meticulously curated with a keen eye for detail, particularly in the realm of natural and artificial lighting. A standout feature is the bespoke light installation in the entrance foyer, a masterful creation handcrafted by the world-renowned Austrian lighting specialists, Bartenbach Light, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall design.
In essence, House LW27 stands as a testament to innovative architectural design, sustainable living, and luxurious comfort, offering a contemporary urban oasis tailored to the modern lifestyle of its discerning residents.
