New York Loft in the Former Police Headquarters / RAAD Studio

New York Loft by Raad Studio

This unique New York Loft was designed by RAAD Studio, an award-winning Manhattan-based design firm with a portfolio of over 100 completed projects. This loft is located in one of the most beautiful buildings in New York City, the Beaux-Arts style former police headquarters located at 240 Centre Street.

A unique room inside an iconic New York building was carefully treated to emphasize the muscular beauty of the ancient building skeleton itself. In a project that was almost more about taking away than adding, the interventions were meant to create a clean backdrop for the roughness of the building shell. Building systems, storage, and lighting were all added in delicate balance to bring out the character of the space. Photos by RAAD Studio

Minimalist Two Bedroom Apartment Designed by Flat6 in Hanoi

When we agreed to design this two-bedroom apartment, the apartment was not finished, the walls were not built but the space has been fixed. The location of equipment in the toilet and the kitchen has been waiting for the old design of the building.

Sapato Apartment, Lisboa, Portugal / Arriba Studio

Portuguese studio Arriba has renovated Bica do Sapato Apartment, turning it into a spacious and full of light home. From the first day we visited this site, we understood the potential of this curious layout. It resembled a maze with several heights, features we ended up exploring on a deeper level later.

Striking Desert House in Tucson, Arizona / Kevin B. Howard Architects

We were very fortunate to work with a couple who, devoted to the ideals of minimalism’s stark allure, asked us to design a house in the foothills of Tucson, Arizona, located in the profoundly diverse Sonoran Desert.

NoMad Loft Designed by Worrell Yeung in Former Manhattan Hotel

This 19th century duplex loft located in the historic Gilsey House building in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, was converted from a hotel into apartments in the 1980’s, resulting in oddly shaped entry sequences and constrained living spaces.

Three-Pavilion Residence by YH2 Architecture

Montreal-based yh2 introduces TRIPTYCH, a three-pavilion residence carefully nestled in lakeside surroundings. The house, with its crisp lines and sober palette, was built on a sloping site overlooking a small lake in the Laurentian Mountains, one hundred kilometres from Montreal.
