Nestled on the Odra River’s edge in Szczecin’s historic Podzamcze district, Office By The River by Studio Loft Kolasiński reimagines workspace as a warm, material-rich environment. Moreover, this private company’s office balances openness with intimacy, encouraging collaboration without sacrificing focus.
A Palette Rooted in Nature
First and foremost, the interiors celebrate natural materials. Warm oak wood floors and stone surfaces ground the space, while traditionally fired Spanish decorative bricks add texture and heritage. In addition, natural fabrics lend softness to seating areas, and bespoke steel joinery provides subtle industrial counterpoints. As a result, the office feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary.
Flexible, Light-Filled Layout
Meanwhile, spatial planning prioritizes adaptability. Accordingly, two office rooms were partially integrated through a vertical glazing wall, allowing daylight to penetrate deep into both areas. Consequently, four workstations—two in each room—benefit from generous daylighting and river views. Furthermore, the larger room features an over three-meter solid oak table that comfortably seats two as a shared workspace, with four additional guest chairs ready for presentations or impromptu meetings.
Bespoke Furnishings and Curated Objects
In line with the project’s bespoke ethos, Studio Loft Kolasiński designed custom desks, shelving units, kitchen cabinetry, and even bathroom vanities. Additionally, the office boasts a curated mix of Danish and Polish designer pieces: restored 1970s “Mea” armchairs in the smaller room and statement lighting fixtures that punctuate each corner. Moreover, Juliette Jourdain’s evocative river and landscape photographs adorn the walls, forging a dialogue between art, water, and work.

Ultimately, Office By The River transcends the typical corporate environment. By weaving together natural materials, flexible layouts, and high-quality craftsmanship, Studio Loft Kolasiński has created a place where productivity flows as smoothly as the river outside. Consequently, employees and clients alike enjoy a workspace that feels serene, inspiring, and utterly connected to its riverside setting.
