Situated on the second floor of Hilton in Futian District, Shenzhen, China, GENTLE L BY ALAN YU is a French restaurant, co-founded by Léon LI and Alan YU. The letter “L” in the brand name represents the initials of Léon LI, while “GENTLE” indicates a sense of ritual and French elegance, besides, Alan YU was previously the Executive Chef of a three-Michelin-starred restaurant.
The project is a show flat of an upscale residential development named Greentown • Magnificent Residence in Hangzhou, China.
The project to be carried out was to completely renovate this cottage and expand it to make it an open, fluid, and bright space that takes advantage of the beautiful views overlooking the lake.

The project focuses on the reform of two buildings built at the end of the 19th century, in the Rec neighborhood in Igualada, near Barcelona, which hosted a small textile industry and a house.
