The previous state of the Sardenya apartment belonged to a way of living incompatible with the requirements of the new owner. These new requirements, even starting from the domestic conventionality, left enough freedom to treat the new apartment in a less corseted way.

Liminal was engaged by RACT Destinations, to deliver nine pavilions to expand Freycinet Lodge’s offerings. The Coastal Pavilions provide a point-of-difference to the 60 cabins already established as part of the 1990’s development.
A Traditional Queenslander Cottage Extended and Refurbished by Hogg and Lamb
This project re-invigorates the life of an existing Queenslander cottage in inner city Paddington. A new extension is carefully considered to mitigate the issues of a steep site and overlooking neighbours, creating platforms and private courtyards that extend the functioning ground plane.

Casa La Quinta is a weekend house located in the town of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. After visiting the site and considering the requirements of the program, the conclusion was to respect the identity of the place, built context and the importance of the height of the neighboring preexistent walls.
Dolores Heights Residence / John Maniscalco Architecture
On an atypically-configured sloping double lot in San Francisco, this new home takes advantage of rare siting to maximize the experience of changing daylight and sweeping city views. The use of deep overhangs and angular cedar forms carefully frames horizon views while gently responding to the corner siting.
