The design of the Jenni Kayne home incorporated a dismantled 19th century wood barn, where the different pieces were transformed into new elements. Large beams formed the entrance pavilion, siding was used for exterior siding and interior ceilings, the maple granary for new doors
Light, simplicity and materiality were the guiding design elements for this modest 3,000 square foot Beverly Hills home. Respectful to a neighborhood mainly consisting of Spanish-styled homes from the 1940s, scale and mass were kept comparable.
Sorrento House is a coastal holiday house composed of a series of stepped pavilions reflecting the sites undulating topography. The living space, master bedroom and guest bedroom sit under the main roof plane, while a separate pavilion, linked by the deck, incorporates two further bedrooms.
Gemma Observatory is a private astronomical observatory located on a remote mountain summit in central New Hampshire. The site is characterized by granite outcroppings and is situated at the center of a three-mile radius “dark” landscape with very little light pollution to obstruct astronomical viewing.

This 360 sf. timber cabin is located on a remote 60 acre, privately owned second-growth forest in Sullivan County, NY. It is sited on a steep, isolated area of the property with no vehicular access, no piped water and no electricity.
The requirement was for a large new family concrete home maximising connection to the exterior spaces and views over Auckland harbour. To create connection to the terraces, pool and gardens, the living areas were all placed one level below street entry level.
