About Aaron Leitz
Aaron Leitz is a Seattle based photographer who creates compelling images of architecture and interior design for a growing number of the West Coast’s leading design firms.
Specializing in interior and exterior architectural spaces, Leitz attributes his entrance into the profession to “coincidence and good fortune.” However, despite his informal introduction to architecture and design, Leitz has established himself as a notable photographer who has worked with prominent architecture firms in Seattle, like Olson Kundig Architects and Suyama Peterson Deguchi, to name a few.
A fan of “respecting the process” and a believer that the “perfect” photo doesn’t exist, Leitz seeks to capture moments by keeping things simple while searching for a space’s “unanticipated opportunities.”

The False Bay Residence is situated to maximize sweeping views of Haro Strait and the Olympic Mountains. A 15-foot-tall opaque entry door pivots open to reveal a view of the Sound through a double-height glazed living and dining space.
We delivered by understanding their needs and tastes; tailoring our design to the architecture with a creative mix of materials, lighting, and furniture including many custom pieces designed to fit the scale of the house.Â
Located in one of Seattle’s most established residential areas, City Cabin’s design answers the client’s desire for a private urban retreat that would connect her to nature. Siting the 2,400-square-foot house on the northwest corner of the lot maximizes garden areas on the south and east sides.
Our design challenge for the Hi-Lo Hotel was to create a space that met the client’s vision; an elegant marriage of high and low.
Our client found a perfect mountain retreat located on the East side of the Cascades. The location was ideal but the existing residence seemed out of scale, with massive dark-stained timber columns and beams contrasting harshly against painted drywall and light stained wood.
This new industrial house and studio for an uber-hobbyist sits quietly within a well established single-family neighborhood. At the center of the house is a large two-story central workspace, bathed in natural light by ample windows and skylights.
This project was a very thorough remodel of a mid-century house, originally designed by Portland architect William Fletcher. Before our clients purchased the home, it was owned by an artist and during our design process we kept in mind both the style of the house as well as the playful eye of its previous occupant.

Designed by Suyama Peterson Deguchi, River Residence is a serene shelter embracing the natural beauty of the rugged mountain area. The complex program for a retired couple included a guest wing and extended outdoor living areas.
