Martin Gardner is a UK based photographer working with architects, engineers, developers, designers, artists, journalists and interior designers to produce iconic memorable images.
With a history in celebrity portraiture working with artists from U2 to Jay-Z, Rihanna to Oliver Stone, Martin spent many years travelling the world shooting portraiture for prestigious publications and agencies. With work in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery London, Martin’s work has been exhibited across the UK and overseas.
With a life long love of architecture and spaces, particularly mid century architecture, Martin took the opportunity to start shooting in the architecture sector and now this has become the major proportion of the commissions he is working on.
Martin has created a unique personal shooting style which makes his images instantly recognisable and enhances and brings to the forefront positive details in structures and spaces.
Martin works on commissions covering the whole of the UK and internationally.
Martin is fascinated with the environments he visits and by the way that those environments and spaces can be changed, influenced and improved by interior designers, architects, developers, artists and designers to add a quality to the experience that the space brings to the people that live, work and play in it.
Collaborating closely with clients and constantly honing the process and the techniques he uses to create images Martin has been featured in worldwide publications including Vogue, Elle Decoration, Homes & Gardens, House & Garden, Grand Designs, Wallpaper, Blueprint, Enki and many more.
