Located on the Mornington Peninsula in Main Ridge, Seal Rock House is a newly built single level home set amidst a sprawling landscape of avocado trees, rolling hills and a conglomeration of kangaroos. Our brief from our client was to create a “winter family home”.
From planning through to concept, documentation and furniture procurement, our role encompassed a fantastic collaboration with the builder and the client, delivering a highly detailed and uniquely Australian home. Upon entry each space is beautifully connected to each other, as well as extraordinary views out to a carefully curated landscape.
Built for a builder client who enjoys getting involved in the details, the project is anchored with Rammed Earth Walls, finely detailed zinc and timber cladding and custom interiors detailed by MIM Design.
Built to withstand the harsh Peninsula environment, the house provides multiple areas for private and secluded retreat and incorporates high level building automation, security and AV features within a simple and refined façade.
