Home is a sanctuary of healing, joy, and comfort. It embodies the unique understandings of life, converging into personalized and heartfelt living spaces. In their recent project at Season Mansion in Changzhou, WJ STUDIO embarked on a journey to create three model rooms, each offering a distinct vision of ideal living spaces tailored to the diverse needs of residents.
Breathing New Life
Drawing energy from nature, this design brings the beauty of the outdoors into the home. The gentle interplay of sunlight and plants transforms the space into a shady oasis, inviting exploration and tranquility. A palette of soft primrose yellow and relaxed basil green evokes joy and a sense of belonging. Natural materials like wood and stone blend seamlessly with modern furniture, revealing the warmth of life in its simplicity. Bathed in natural light, the poetry of daily life unfolds.
The kitchen and dining area are connected by a bar, extending the space’s functionality and creating a dynamic gathering place for storage, baking, and dining. This arrangement adds vibrancy and possibilities to everyday life. In the master bedroom, the color scheme continues through artistic hangings and bedside lamps, creating an atmosphere of healing, relaxation, and comfort. As sunlight filters through the windows and a gentle breeze rustles the curtains, the room comes alive with vivid beauty.
The elder’s bedroom adopts a gray tone as its foundation, enhanced by warm yellow lighting to create a serene and vital ambiance. The girl’s room is a lively world filled with the joy and fun of childhood, reflected in colorful wall paintings, pillows, and carefully selected ornaments and dolls.
Modern New Trend
This room embraces avant-garde artistic elements, combining understated luxury and fashion with extensive use of stone and wooden finishes. The home incorporates all the beautiful things in life—reading, music, art, trendy toys, fitness, and yoga—creating a vibrant, balanced, and comfortable atmosphere. Metal embellishments form display racks for trendy artworks, making the home an ideal place to showcase hobbies and memories.
Orange-brown dining chairs and metal art decorations add refreshing vibrancy to the family atmosphere. The master bedroom, dominated by a serene fawn brown hue, exudes elegance and charm. Hidden light strips in the TV cabinet and an orderly walk-in wardrobe enhance the cozy atmosphere. The girl’s room, themed around reading and art, features cute toys and rugs, while dynamic paintings inspire creativity. The boy’s room, with a black and white color palette, continues the trendy aesthetic with leather cushions, mirrored metal lampshades, and textured picture frames.
Oriental New Luxury
From the entrance vestibule with dark wooden veneers and marble, this room establishes elegance, order, and understated luxury. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are connected, creating a spacious and open feeling under the backdrop of panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. An L-shaped sofa and horsehair armchair create a cozy seating area, while a marble background wall adds peaceful elegance. Artworks enhance the texture and aesthetics of the space.
The reading area, with bright floor-to-ceiling windows, expands the living room’s functionality. Floor lamps, leather desk lamps, and vinyl record players add a touch of luxurious artistry. The bedrooms, located on both sides of the vestibule, blend elegance with comfort. The master bedroom intertwines tones and textures to create a refined scene, with a dressing table integrated into the TV cabinet and wardrobe for added functionality. The elder’s room continues the master bedroom’s color scheme, exuding warmth and tranquility. Gold foil artworks sparkle under the light, creating an elegant ambiance.
The boy’s room adds vibrancy with an active color palette, showcasing hobbies and personality. The multifunctional room combines family movie watching, collecting, private enjoyment, and reading, offering a cozy space for family moments.
