Aldeburgh is the nearest town to our site, a beautiful place on the Suffolk Coast in the East of England, close to Snape Maltings. We were asked to transform a tired brick barn, which sits in five acres of mixed woodland.
The original homestead consisted of two houses, a log cottage and a stone barn, forming an L-shape an set naturally in a remote meadow. To keep this balanced relation we decided to make minimum interventions on the exteriors, the main changes happen inside.
