The 1,500-square-foot house rises into the rainforest canopy – a secluded hideaway for the owner couple to retreat from the distractions of city life.
Dwelling implies movement and stillness. In this house, we wanted to give the same hierarchy to both the places of passage and those of permanence, arranged around or through different patios and gardens.
The composition articulates the base, which mainly shelters the social and leisure environments, and the body, the intimate ones. Two subtractions were performed on the ground floor volume, to delimit the car shelter and the balcony, respectively. And in the upper one, one, on the southwest corner, to form the balcony of the bedrooms located on the rear facade.
The JSL House was designed from the idea of connection – visual, privileging the view to the sea; and living and leisure spaces.
The Bluish House is located on the Brazilian Southern coast, and it is use during holidays and weekends by a young couple. The client’s aim to a refugee on the bayside to welcome friends and family.
In this project, the design of the house comes with some special conditions of the place where it is inserted, a garden neighborhood in the city of São Paulo.
Ciruelo House consists of a residential living space of 155 square meters that displaces the altitude of the property by 7 x 15 meters. Located on the outskirts of the city of Cancun, Mexico, the architectural program distributes the space into three levels
MINIMOD Retreat is an exploration of the experience of landscape and technology. It presents itself as a primitive retreat with a contemporary reinterpretation, which more than an object aims to become an every-remote-landscape experience.
