Originally, the home was a 1960s detached house in Crystal Palace, situated at the end of a leafy cul-de-sac. It stood among mature trees and close neighbors. Although the family needed more space as they grew, the existing house was narrow, had low ceilings, and felt cramped. It also lacked a true connection to the outdoors.
In the contemplative climatic spa of Oberreute in the Allgäu region, the Stuttgart office of Yonder – Architektur und Design has created a small, refined, detached house in a solid wood design with a living area of 130 m2.
Transformation of a 1920s detached house for a young family who wanted more space to work, learn, live and play.
The users are a multicultural couple of mature adults. The objective of the project was that the house will take advantage of the characteristics of the complex and that the open spaces will be part of the dynamics of daily use.
The house dates from 1930, with a facade of 7m wide and a built depth of 10m. This town house survives the real estate pressure and the transformation of the neighborhood that has been replacing this typology with multi-family buildings of more than 4 floors as those that surround it.
The T residence, a detached house located in Merano, consisting of a ground floor and a basement with garage. There were designed two buildings on different levels connected by internal stairs, to better adapt the house to the sloping terrain.
