The Ramsey House project featured a 60’s detached family house consisting with a disjointed layout making it hard for the clients to enjoy the house appropriately; there was also little to no connection to the rear garden.
We were tasked with a brief to transform a dated, 1970’s bungalow in the Peak District into a striking contemporary home which maximised the property’s aspect looking out over the Chatsworth estate.
The design draws on the history and materials of traditional Cornish fishing villages, with their ribbons of steep lanes dipping down to the sea. Entering from the lane, a stone wall breaks to form an unassuming main entrance. Circulation spaces meander between the volumes leading down to the kitchen and living areas.
Located within a short walking distance from the centre of Norwich in Norfolk, Jane Richards Interiors was commissioned to design the interior of this large City penthouse apartment.

This house by Alan Higgs Architects has been shortlisted in this year’s RIBA Awards. Constraints became the stimulus for a 200 sq metre, semi-subterranean extension to a Grade II listed house overlooking Regent’s Park.
This is our third site with Island Poké and the largest to date. Taking our inspiration from the Hawaiian origins of Island Poké, we looked to the sea and movement to create a point of interest.
