French studio flca renovates parisian apartment located at the top of a little residential wooden building built around 1830. located between the Pantheon and the Jardin des Plantes, the duplex apartment renovation features two raw, industrial materials: OSB wood and steel.
Nestled on the heights of the district of Mourillon in Toulon, this small fisherman’s house has been completely renovated by Marseille-based architecture firm vGH Company.
The plans were designed for a couple with two children who wanted a loft conversion type with efficient use of space. The concept was to open up the ground floor by taking down the existing partitions wall and placing the bedrooms on the upper floor.
The owners of an old high-ceilinged typical parisian style workshop asked FREAKS to design a punctual living space that could evolve according to their different activities all through the day. FREAKS freearchitects turned the old workshop into a minimal and flexible flat, called La Tournette.
The owners of an atypical 3 story house contacted us with a strong intention to transform an existing small living room into a large contemporary and minimalist space. We worked on the re-organization of the living spaces, having in mind the view from the inside and the interior light. We also wanted the terrace to become an extension of the living room.
YOSHINORI is a gourmet restaurant located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés just a stone’s throw away from Odéon. The space consists of two floors, a ground floor and a basement. It is characteristic of the neighborhood in which it is located and has a stone and wooden structure, visible wooden beams on the ground floor, and vaulted stone cellars in the basement.

Set as a new Parisian temple for mixology dedicated to Gin & Tonic, Tiger unfurls its wooden structure on the two levels of the venue. The staggered setting of timber weaves the bar, the staircase, the seating booth and benches as well as the counters.
The project consists of the renovation of the old painter Pierre Lemaire’s studio (1920-2007), in order to create a minimalist and bright loft in the heart of Paris. The entire existing interior design and the slab was demolished, only the load-bearing walls and the roof were preserved.
This contemporary lake house is a project designed for a couple with two children in 2012. It is located on a narrow plot whose natural slope reaches the shores of Lake. Pierre Minassian, the architect of the project, followed this operation with his team of architects for 3 years.
In this mansion, an old Bordeaux hotel, the living space is revealed by the encounter between past and present. It is in the interpretation and the articulation of the existing architectural signs that has emerged the project, where each new architecture fragment fits and dances in its context.
