The Trout Lake retreat contains four distinct buildings arranged in two groupings. The first grouping contains the main house, a woodworking shop, and a carport all contained under a single roof in a T-shape. A covered courtyard connects the three spaces in the middle of the “T”.
In designing the Waterview Condominium, it was essential for the views to remain the primary visual experience from all the spaces, including the circulation axes. Ideally, ceiling height would be maximized especially along the ten feet high, floor to ceiling, uninterrupted glass curtain wall.
This 1,800 sf condo renovation is about maximizing efficient use of space. Custom built-in solutions include a sliding desk that converts a den into a guest room, and display niches for the client’s personal curio collection. One of the defining built-in features of this project was the flush-faced millwork with cut-out pulls.
The Leblon apartment is situated in a 50’s building in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The scope of interior design signed by F.studio was to rescue of materials present in the original apartment and create new environments to accomplish the needs of the new residents.
Located by the beach of busy Tel Aviv in a nostalgic old building, the 72 sqm apartment had been fully redesigned by MGA | Meirav Galan Architect, as a ‘Piece of Peacefulness by the sea’.
Framed by the green of the Cerrito hill, the building concept of the headquarters of Lineastudio Architectures was designed respecting the original topography of the terrain and the nature of the surroundings, confused with the natural landscape.
Located in Tucson’s Barrio Historico, this residence is a modern interpretation of the neighborhood’s traditional courtyard architecture. From the street, the house is anonymous, fitting into the Barrio context with façade proportions and door and window openings in keeping with neighborhood guidelines.
Before moving to Lajeado, in Rio Grande do Sul, mother and daughter lived in a large house with a backyard, in Santa Cruz do Sul. Despite the choice of an apartment as a new home, the matriarch did not want to give up the entrance of light and the presence of green for the new home. That is why the project integrated the social area creating a great light and airy environment.
The intimate part of the Caxias do Sul apartment has an office, a guest bedroom and the suite of the couple that receives an unusual equipment for urban apartments, a hot tub overlooking the city center.
