The family who built this home wanted to create a relaxing, embracing environment which, while providing a view to the surrounding green, pastoral landscapes, manages to maintain a sense of privacy.
A fluent yet great gesture of linking indoor and outdoor was our main guide in this project. The house is built on a dual plot, and our challenge was giving the costumers a sense of privacy, intimacy and freedom with in their home.

The project is a 220 sqm house located in a small kibbutz (Nir – Am) in the Gaza envelope. Despite the constant threat that inflicts the area, the residents (a young couple in their 30’s with a toddler, a baby and a beautiful golden-retriever) chose to build their home in the place where they were born and raised.
The main challenge in this project was to fit four floors into a house with plot limitation, that would look like two. By stretching, extending and raising the main box we managed to hide three floors in it, and create a Pavilion looking house.
The house us built on a square lot of 600m2 in diameter, designed as an L shaped bench facing the gard. The two sides of the L-shape home contain the public functions, facing the yard and wrapped around the outdoor sitting area. The swimming pool is located at the back of the yard.
Rishon LeZion House is a single-family house designed by Shachar Rozenfeld Architects, an Israeli studio founded in 2009 by the architects Yael Shachar and Lior Rozenfeld. The house is built on a narrow trapezoid lot, bordering a small green public park with ancient Eucalyptus trees.
The relationship between open and closed, between heavy and light, between clean new materials to those who have been already scratched and used and mainly the relationship between exposed concrete and… All the rest. It is not an easy material. Concrete that is. It requires the best professionals, it does not have any mistakes range and it is expensive.
