A newly married couple approached me in a bit of a quandary. They had just bought a brand new house in north London. It certainly ticked all the boxes, with lots of space and plenty of bedrooms for a potential family and visiting parents.

Striking the perfect balance between fun and sophistication, ThirdWay’s new design takes advantage of the 11,500 sq ft office, providing hot desk space and collaborative areas throughout.
This project, a Victorian brick house in Islington, comprises of a side and roof extension, as well as extensive internal refurbishment. Featuring open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas on the ground and lower-ground floors, Elfort Road House has been transformed from dark and cluttered into light and spacious.
The owner’s period, one-bedroom garden flat was tired, outdated and suffered from a compromised layout. The uninsulated bathroom, located to the rear of the house, could only be accessed by walking through the kitchen.
The Stoke Newington flat required some basic replanning, and by moving a few key walls it allowed the space to open up and become much more usable.

Our clients found the original Edwardian layout of their new home with it’s dark interiors and cellular, disconnected spaces hard to reconcile with their desire for light filled, free flowing spaces with a bold design and connection to the garden.
