Montreal-based yh2 introduces TRIPTYCH, a three-pavilion residence carefully nestled in lakeside surroundings. The house, with its crisp lines and sober palette, was built on a sloping site overlooking a small lake in the Laurentian Mountains, one hundred kilometres from Montreal.
This minimalist red house, as well as the adjacent farm building, were designed to minimise building times and costs and to privilege energy sustainability.
This minimalist Mexico home resolves almost all the interior surfaces with natural concrete. The structural elements such as banked beams, retaining walls and stairs were left apparent; the polystyrene beam and vault roof, as well as the insulating panel loading walls are flattened with a fine, polished finish.

SAI Architecture Design Office have recently completed this family home in Osaka, Japan, that has perfectly incorporated both indoors and outdoors. The architects decided to place the building on the North side in order to maximize a garden space.
