Limerick House is a modern timber-clad addition to an existing dwelling on a rural Victorian property. The new addition orientates the home towards the expansive country hillside views,
The design was lead by the Edwardian character of the original Elgin house and it was important that the new addition carried through this sensibility. The owners were wanting to create a relaxed family home, that both spoke of their life in Australia but also reflected back to time spent living in the UK.
Ceres Gable House is located within a stud farm – a large and modern Australian homestead comprising of 3 family residences on its 700 acres.
The Stiles Road house was modernised 15 years ago but with the arrival of the owners two children, the house and its extension, no longer fulfilled the owners needs.
The design for this dwelling transforms an existing inner city cottage into a contemporary, light filled home. New kitchen, living and dining areas and a shady cantilevered white steel pergola extend out to connect the interiors of the house to its yard and outdoor living area.
