They purchased a 900 sf loft within a former chocolate factory and asked PLANT to renovate it in a way that would enable them to use the space as either a two-bedroom condominium or a one-bedroom unit with an expanded living area.
The Cobourg house, adjacent to Cobourg’s Victoria Park, is set deep into the site while accommodating local zoning regulations. Screened by large mature trees, it is intended to have a discreet presence in this conservation area.
A family cottage on a remote and private north-Ontario lake. The Algonquin cottage is on the doorstep of the vast Algonquin Provincial Park. In the summertime it operates as a private family escape and offers a cool swim from the city’s heat, and in the winter as a warm cabin to nestle in after cross-country ski outings in Algonquin Park.
This project began as a simple addition to the rear of a two storey detached house in Bedford Park. Through the design and construction process the renovation expanded to include a full renovation weaving a new and modern aesthetic into the existing house.
Located on the coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, this small dwelling provides the client with a retreat to call home, and an art studio in which to work.
