Slate House in a Maryland Forest by Ziger/Snead

Situated on 3 acres and surrounded by Maryland Environmental Trust land, the Slate House is a contemporary retreat that respects the nature and legacy of the vast and densely wooded site. The new 7,000-square foot building replaces a late 60’s, ranch-style house that was destroyed by fire.

a21studio designs a small temple in the beautiful landscape of Nha Trang, Vietnam. The yellow tone of the stone material half-hidden by the luxuriant trees, left the temple almost disappeared in the scene. The unvarnished construction method seems to recall the nature of the religion. The red bucket standing in front of the temple humorously.
