Jingle Design Institute has just completed a catering project in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. The dining experience is improved with materials including metal net, Rodda paint, stone, and stainless steel, and the sense of boundary of food is reduced, so that customers coming to the restaurant can experience the food culture in an all-around way.
The project site is almost square. The designer broke the limit of the space with an absorbing entrance, creating more possibilities. The areas in the space are divided and enclosed with streamlines, which is just like the relation between the structure of a cell and the surrounding environment. The sense of boundary of food is reduced and reshaped and the dining experience is enhanced.
The device in the space is praised by people. The cutting lines on the curved surface of the device come from the complicated simulated cutting experiment and multiple curves extend in different directions. The device was combined by segment on the project site after communication and cooperation with the professional team. Its maximum extended length is up to 13 meters. The same metal net structure was used for echoing. Straight lines and curves are overlapped, making the metal net light. With such an ultra-thin metal net, mysterious and shining light and shadow change under the device.
Jingle Design Institute continuously explores the balance between art communication and the aesthetics of the public. The areas in the space are divided and enclosed with streamlines, but the absorbing entrance breaks the limit of the original plain space, creating more possibilities, which is just like the structure of a cell. It transports material, converts energy, and transfers information with the surrounding environment.
