Airbnb is a company that globally intermediates, private properties for rent to those who wish to spend their holiday in a certain location. Recently, a new Airbnb office has been arranged in Dublin, Ireland, appealing to the Irish architecture firm Heneghan Peng Architects. The company wanted the new offices to be dominated by open space, stimulating creativity and encouraging collaboration. The conception, interior design and space organization had to reflect the activity of the firm: holiday accommodation.
From the entrance, the theme is reflected through the reception area, decorated in the form of an Irish pub with a horseshoe-shaped bar. The traditional color of Ireland, green, is more present in the decors, inclusively the two telephone booths that have a decorative purpose. Concerning for the natural look, in order to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere, suitable to the specific activities of the company, Heneghan Peng has chosen to use as raw material wood and its derivatives. Along the main access corridor, on both sides, there are organized versatile offices with a design inspired by various properties of Airbnb from all over the world. The main meeting hall resembles very much like an university auditorium, but in this hall, the order word is convenience and creative freedom. Airbnb office from Dublin is in the final phase of work and will be officially opened on 4th April.
