Nestled within the central area of the Katong district, 11CK-House represents a home restoration project befitting the area’s architectural heritage along Singapore’s East Coast.
To accommodate a large busy family, this semi-detached house was expanded into its twin, creating a much larger home while allowing for the future re-division of the building into two homes again.
The Frangipani house took two years from planning to construction, and includes automated blinds, lighting, piped-in sound and security systems.
The Ghost Houses was a second development project for Fraher & Findlay, where we were Client, Architect and Contractor, fully in control of the project, and owning the risks and rewards of each role.
This transformation of a dilapidated Victorian duplex near Holly Park Circle revitalized the front facade, while transforming the rear and roof of the project with dramatically modern features, finishes and amenities. The lower unit expanded down, to access the rear yard featuring a private garden and mature trees, while the upper unit expanded to the roof, to capture panoramic views of the park and San Francisco Bay waterfront.
With this project, we wanted to create a space that was beautiful, referenced the history of this gorgeous Brooklyn brownstone, and fit the needs of our clients, a modern, busy family.
An unloved and long-unsaleable 1950s two-story terraced house in London NW3 has been given a new lease of life and a long and sustainable future by Sanya Polescuk Architects.
