Colore Apartment by CLACstudio celebrates the transformative power of color and light in shaping space. Located within a generous floorplan, the project turns visual perception into a design tool—using bold tones, tailored lighting, and lightweight materials to define and distinguish zones without relying on traditional partitions. The result is a home that feels both expansive and intimately curated.
A Living Room in Motion: Color as Architecture
At the heart of the apartment lies the expansive living area, where color becomes more than decoration—it acts as structure. Bold hues overlap and interact, generating dynamic visual perspectives that change with movement and daylight. Rather than dividing the space, these color fields invite interaction, subtly guiding the eye and body from one area to the next. This chromatic choreography brings energy to the space while visually amplifying its dimensions.
Each room within the apartment features a distinct palette, chosen with intention. These palettes respond to the function and atmosphere of their respective zones—offering moments of calm, vibrancy, or focus depending on the need. Yet, despite their variety, they never feel disconnected.
Material Lightness and Structural Elegance
CLACstudio reinforces this sense of flow with careful material choices. Among them, a custom-made lacquered iron mesh stands out. Positioned between the private corridor and the living space, this translucent screen creates a boundary without blocking light or visual connection. It acts as a gentle threshold—allowing air and gaze to pass through—while maintaining a clear distinction between social and intimate zones.
Another standout feature is the use of Vibia’s Plusminus lighting system, which was custom-configured for the apartment. A single, continuous ribbon of light travels through the day areas, connecting spaces while offering varied lighting scenes tailored to different moments of use. This elegant element serves not only as illumination but as a visual and functional anchor—tying the diverse colors and materials into one cohesive narrative.

Ultimately, Colore Apartment is more than a bold aesthetic statement. It’s a thoughtful exploration of how color, light, and materiality can shape the way we feel and move through a space. CLACstudio’s design merges clarity with creativity, offering a modern living environment that is both expressive and highly livable.
