Grounded Design is delighted to announce the completion of the Golf Estate Views Villa, a stunning modern farmhouse located in the verdant surroundings of Jumeirah Golf Estates. This project exemplifies the perfect blend of contemporary design and rustic charm, resulting in an inviting and unique family home.
A Harmonious Blend of Modern and Rustic Elements
From the moment visitors step into Golf Estate Views Villa, they are greeted by a grand glass atrium that floods the space with natural light, creating an immediate sense of tranquility. The interior design features neutral tones that combine modern aesthetics with rustic elements, providing a calming retreat for its residents. Expansive windows further integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting the beauty of nature into everyday living.
Client’s Vision and Design Execution
The clients, drawing inspiration from their South African heritage, envisioned a modern farmhouse that emphasizes earthy tones and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They wanted a space perfect for entertaining and family gatherings, which is reflected in the design’s central braai room. Grounded Design transformed the previously dark villa into an open and spacious home, balancing modern style with rustic charm through the use of wood and stone. The design ensures that the home is both stylish and comfortable, meeting the needs of a modern family.
Key Features and Structural Changes
One of the standout features of the villa is the BBQ stone wall, which brings a rustic texture to the living space and integrates the outdoor environment. The glass atrium not only fills the house with natural light but also provides a sense of openness and continuity between floors. Custom hand-carved furniture adds elegance and personal charm, enhancing the home’s unique character. Additionally, the modern farmhouse beams and the braai room with a bar that opens to the outside are central elements that reflect the clients’ love for entertaining.
Significant structural changes were made to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The extended front door creates a grand and inviting entrance, while the conversion of a ground floor bedroom into a braai room caters to the client’s passion for outdoor cooking and entertaining. Grounded Design also executed full landscaping, featuring natural stone mosaics, water features, and rock gardens, which reflect the Mediterranean theme of the neighborhood.
Creating a Welcoming and Sophisticated Ambiance
Golf Estate Views Villa exudes a welcoming and sophisticated ambiance, with each space thoughtfully designed to feel lived-in and snug. The home’s semi-automated systems include smart technology for lighting, climate control, security, and entertainment, ensuring ease of use and enhanced functionality. The material selection, including wood, metal, porcelain tiles, textured fabrics, concrete tile, and natural stone, was chosen for both durability and aesthetic appeal. Bespoke custom furniture, such as Quooker taps and KDLN lighting, complements the home’s unique style and enhances its overall atmosphere.
Grounded Design’s meticulous attention to detail and innovative solutions, particularly in creating an indoor BBQ room, demonstrate their commitment to delivering a functional and beautiful family home. The Golf Estate Views Villa stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of modern design and rustic charm, offering a refreshing and enjoyable living environment for its inhabitants.
