The essence of the design was to create a series of furniture with similar materials but diverse colours to respond to each basic function of the space.
This is a renovation project of a house that is more than 40 years old, the childhood home of the mother of the family. Her parents built a new house nearby and passed on to her the right of a continuing daughter
Nestled in the gently rolling landscape of Central Wisconsin, the Kettle Moraine House sits at the far end of an elevated plateau of recently restored native prairie, its low-slung linear volume overlooking an expansive wetland and small creek beyond.
The Lantern house was designed entirely by MU Architecture in such a way as to optimize the relationship between the rooms and reduce distances.
This unique house extends over an area of 240 square meters, and has become a home to a father and son who live side by side.
The holiday home by Þingvallavatn is carefully placed on a densely overgrown hill which is sloping north in the direction of the great Lake Þingvallavatn.
