Summerhouse H is located on the southern coast of the Skåne-region in Sweden, in a scenic location just a couple of metres from the beach. The house has views both towards the Baltic Sea to the south and the heathland to the east.
The attic in the multi-family house in the Old Grunwald district was adapted into the modern and functional flat and work studio. The initial attic space was characterized by various heights of the rooms (some of them very low) and with preserved beautiful wooden ceiling and floor.
Kenwood Lee House offered a rare opportunity; the client, a successful builder, was also the main contractor with an exceptional ability to interpret and deliver the architect’s design. Their mutual obsession with attention to detail proved instrumental in creating the family’s dream home.
The functional layout proposed included a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The intervention began by creating a separation between the social and private areas of the apartment by way of the two existing floors.
Between the road and the river, the St-Ignace house allows you to enjoy the landscapes around it by creating distinct experiences with unique scenes that border it. Quietly revealing the St. Lawrence River, it allows you to contemplate nature while inhabiting it.
A major tourist attraction for well over a century, the Charlevoix region features some of Québec’s most striking landscapes. Over the last fifteen years, with the opening of a new ski resort, this already popular spot truly became a year-round destination.
For a project in Jackson’s Teton Cascades development, Carney Logan Burke’s clients were specific that their 6,000-square-foot home should feel like a collection of buildings rather than a monolith. Full-time residents of Jackson Hole, they would also be collaboratively involved in the process.
The crafting of this multi-generational retreat was a continuation of the journey we went on with the clients in their Auckland home. We wanted to do things uniquely for them and to reflect their involvement in the timber business
