Broadway Loft is hMa’s redesign of their 1997 Holley Loft, for the same client. hMa’s original design for the space was featured in MoMA’s Un-Private House show in 1999, as a ‘state of the art’ interpretation of domestic design.

Our clients purchased Salisbury House on a large west facing section as a gutted shell with a new concrete slab poured for a garage addition to the street frontage, and a slab at the rear of the villa for additional living spaces.

Located in the Baltic Sea resort of Prerow, this holiday home is a modern interpretation of the typical reed-thatched house. As the reeds not only cover the roof ( Thatched Roofs )but also gables and side walls, the house has a monolithic character.

The Wells Fargo building, located in the Hamilton Park neighborhood in Jersey City, was built at the end of the 19th century as a stable for the company’s iconic stagecoach horses.
