This two-level apartment in the residential complex “Dobra oselya” (Good house) in Lviv was designed for a young, active couple. Customers tended to interior design in the functionalistic style. We tried to fill the apartment with details needed for a comfortable living of two young people.
The Elysium House project involved alterations within the envelope of a Grand Victorian Terrace in inner city Sydney, Australia. Internal re-working at garden level requiring excavation under the existing footprint and the creation of a 2 storey volume that extends the living space, connecting multiple levels of the house to the garden.
In the hands of Alvin-T Studio, Gyoza bar is a made out of a fusion of Japanese comic-ky graphics with eye-popping colors. Many of the furniture were custom designed with a young and cheerful mood in mind.
The Palm Springs House is embedded in a San Jacinto promontory that overlooks the valley and mountain ranges beyond. The home celebrates its setting, capturing the spirit of its region in its form and execution.
The plan of the Vineyard house was designed to respond to family living, with public or shared areas on the ground floor and bedrooms above. The master bedroom is separated from the children’s rooms by a bridge spanning the double-height great room that takes up the majority of the lower level.
This open-plan double-height living area includes the main domestic activities and enables the transformation of the residual building into a two-story residential unit, technologically and spatially adapted to its time and the life of its users.
In a return to a “townhouse” concept, this apartment in Venice Beach was designed to meet the spatial needs of its residents and house their private collection of contemporary photography.
Amado are external sliding timber screens used on Japanese traditional houses to protect the inner layers of shoji screens from the weather. The Amado House adapts sliding screens to address Australian conditions, moderating harsh sun and discouraging blowflies with flywire replacing rice paper.
