Overlooking the hills that surround the city of Santa Maria, the residence of contemporary character explores the materiality and takes advantage of visuals and the solar orientation. The plants of the floors are functional with large rooms that open outwards, ensuring maximum use of natural lighting and ventilation.
Cristiano Bauce is a photographer specializing in architectural photography since 2007, after studying Architecture and Urbanism and completing the workshops with the photographers Gabriel Not and the Spanish Jesus Granada.
This small open-plan apartment has smart multifunctional solutions to emphasize the potential of the space. The social areas are completely integrated, which facilitates the fluidity of the functions that the client needs; whether resting, working or welcoming friends and family.
The Pereira Narvaes house is located in Caxias, a mountainous region of southern Brazil. After the visit to the site of the project, it became evident the existence of an incredible view towards a “green wall”, a mountain with an almost vertical slope that would direct the project.
Framed by the green of the Cerrito hill, the building concept of the headquarters of Lineastudio Architectures was designed respecting the original topography of the terrain and the nature of the surroundings, confused with the natural landscape.
Before moving to Lajeado, in Rio Grande do Sul, mother and daughter lived in a large house with a backyard, in Santa Cruz do Sul. Despite the choice of an apartment as a new home, the matriarch did not want to give up the entrance of light and the presence of green for the new home. That is why the project integrated the social area creating a great light and airy environment.
The intimate part of the Caxias do Sul apartment has an office, a guest bedroom and the suite of the couple that receives an unusual equipment for urban apartments, a hot tub overlooking the city center. In order to create a great light and airy environment it was considered that the social area should be expanded to the maximum without barriers and if possible to unify the balcony to the living environment.
